Sausage & Peppers Teriyaki

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound sweet Italian sausage cut into inch chunks
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki glaze
  • 1/2 onion cut into 1 inch chunks
  • 1/2 red bell pepper cut into 1 inch chunks
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 six inch bamboo skewers
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Skewer. Onion, pepper, sausage, onion, pepper, sausage, onion sausage, pepper, onion sausage to skewer one and then repeat with skewer two.
  2. Brush on teriyaki glaze coating liberally
  3. Heat oil until just smoking in a large sauté pan
  4. Sauté for 4-6 minutes on each side*
  5. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and bake In 400 degree oven for another 18 minutes or until cooked through
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seed and serve

*An alternate method is to gas grill with a grill topper at a high heat grilling 3-5 minutes a side
