Ingredients
- 2 New York strip steaks (24 to 28 ounces total)
- 1 lb. of sweet Italian sausage without casing
- 1.5 cups panko bread crumbs soaked in ½ cup of milk
- ¾ cup of minced shallot
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup of flat leaf parsley
- 1.5 cups of Monterey Jack Cheese (Coarsely grated)
- Sprinkle liberally with kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
- 6 strips of bacon
Instructions
- Grind the steak one steak at a time in a food processor and place ground beef in a large bowl.
- Add all the other ingredients
- Mix the ingredients with your hands until fairly homogenous
- Place the mixture into two separate loaf pans
- Add 3 strips of bacon to each loaf
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour
- Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing
