  5. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is needed to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

    • I am relatively new to the website design and blog business myself. I used to be a VP of marketing for a large company and we spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on website design. In getting ready for my book to come out I designed my own website basically following a youtube video instruction. An old line of my dad’s keep coming back to me. He would say about his carpentry. “I can do my own carpentry but it looks like I did it”. same with my website design efforts. It is far from perfect.

      The cost isn’t that much. I pay like $30 a year have it hosted and paid around $100 for plus in licenses. I am cheap. I am not a geek. It has been a learning process. I use WordPress as the design platform. It isn’t the easiest software to learn but lots of folks use it.

      One quick question: How did you came across my blog/website? I am using a few different vehicles and trying to figure out what is working. For example I am using TypePad as a bl;go platform. Right now I am in the 14 day free trial period and I will need top pay $8.95 a month if I keep it ongoing

  14. I am not a internet geek by any means. I did start this site myself using a youtube video as a roadmap. It is based in WordPress which is one of the leading site softwares. I found myself spending hours trying to make even minor changes. Recently I have been working with Upwork and a web developer out of india. For less than $20/hour i get the help I need. Best of luck
