Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs. large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
- 4-6 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup homemade toasted bread crumps
- 2 tablespoons assorted/mixed fresh herbs
- ½ cup white wine
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Sauté garlic in butter (5 minutes at low heat)
- Add lemon juice, pepper fakes and Worcestershire sauce
- Lay the shrimp in one layer in a baking dish
- Pour all the butter mixture except for ¼ cup over the shrimp
- Mix the remaining butter mixture with the homemade toasted bread crumb (The crumbs should be pretty big. Don’t use store bought crumb as it tends to get gooey)
- Sprinkle the crumb over the shrimp. Then sprinkle the parmesan cheese and herbs
- Sprinkle the white wine
- Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for about 12 minutes or until the shrimp are done and the mixture is bubbly
- Serve as an appetizer or as a main course. It should be served with crusty bread that can be sued to sop up the juices
- It can be spiced up with additions such as: bacon, green onion and/or capers
